making progress

Currently having a blast stamping everything I can get my hands on with our stamp. One productive thing I've done is work on the favor bags. The plan is to have at least two different favors for people to chose from. what's going to be in the bags, I don't know yet...but it will be awesome.

registry

we're going to go do our registry this weekend. planning on going to target and anthrolpologie and urban outfitters. it may be a little harder at the anthro because they don't have an actual registry but we have a wishlist online.

It came!!!

after anxiously waiting, the stamp came!! so excited. there's a possibility that multiple things in the apartment have our image all over it now...

wedding present?

Our first wedding present? Jake had mentioned to his mom that we would like a nice knife set for the apartment, word spread to his grandpa, who had an extra knife set. Somewhere along the line, it got filled with 50 knives...we may be the last two people that should have that many knives. ready for target practice?

Jacob and I went to a different Goodwill two days ago and found a ton on teacups! awesome. Then later that day Sara and I went to the Brass Armadillo and found a ton of milk glass jars...there is hope again

Good News

We have our engagement pictures in a few weeks so we've been thinking of things we can do for our pics. they may not really make any sort of coherent sense but I think we will love them. One idea that I have loved for a long time is getting some pictures on a tandem bike. I asked around and to my amazement my friend Renae actually had one. Unfortunately, the bike is unusable so it was back to the beginning. My super cool fiance looked online and found a place in omaha that actually rents tandem bikes...awesome!

Jake and I are trying to decide which would be best: hiring a dj or running with the ipod idea. I freak out a little when I think of all the things that can go wrong with playing our own music but spending money to hire someone that will play a bunch of music we don't like kind of sucks too. We really just need to find someone to MC everything and let us play our jams...we are both kind of control freaks about music...plus we've been compiling songs for a while now. any thoughts?

Slight Road Block

The idea for the table centerpieces has always been teacups, vintage dishes, figurines etc. Economical, versatile, shabby-chic teacups! Our journey to find said teacups started strong but has come to an abrupt halt. seems we have found all the all-ready-loved china in the Omaha area. poop

so today marks a somewhat bittersweet day for jake and i. it is our 6 year anniversary of dating. something i'm pretty proud of but it's also the last time we will ever celebrate april fool's day as "our day".i'm pretty crazy about him.
